About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects in the region.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive cost management strategies for complex projects
  • Prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts
  • Monitor project costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure
  • Manage contract negotiations and change orders to ensure optimal financial outcomes
  • Lead and mentor a team of cost professionals, fostering their growth and development
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to align cost management with project goals
  • Provide regular cost reports and financial analyses to senior management and clients
  • Implement and maintain cost control systems and processes
  • Stay updated on local market conditions and regulations affecting project costs

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Professional certification MRICS
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in cost management for large-scale projects
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget constraints
  • Advanced knowledge of cost management and estimation techniques
  • Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills
  • Excellent risk assessment and mitigation abilities
  • Demonstrated contract management expertise
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices and standards in Saudi Arabia
  • Familiarity with local regulations and market conditions in the Saudi Arabian construction sector
  • Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
