We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate and support external audits
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with progressive responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including IFRS and local accounting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, DEAL) and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
- Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred
- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards and regulations
