About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and support external audits
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with progressive responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including IFRS and local accounting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, DEAL) and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred
  • Knowledge of Indian accounting standards and regulations
