About the Role

ROLE PURPOSE

The M25 is Europe’s busiest motorway and to keep it running smoothly, we need to deliver extensive amounts of work with as little impact as possible. Notifying people of these works is crucial and this role will provide vast experience in a supported, team environment. You will be a crucial part of our communications team, working with the Scheme Communications Manager on interesting schemes and with a wide variety of people.

We’re always on the lookout for new ways of communicating so this role will provide the opportunity to be creative and trial new things.
Hours can be spread across the week or grouped as four days. Training will be provided so you are equipped to perform at your best!

This role is to cover for maternity leave and is for a minimum of 12 months. Role is 30 hours per week which can be worked across 4 days with some remote work flexibiity available.

Key internal and external stakeholders that the role interacts with

INTERNAL: Engaging with project teams across the business to build relationships and gather information to deliver high quality communications materials

EXTERNAL: Stakeholder engagement e.g. issuing letters to local authorities and local communities

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support scheme communications manager in the development of scheme communications strategies 
  • Draft communications materials including letters, leaflets, and emails
  • Updating Customer Relationship Management database
  • Attend calls/ meetings to gather information and build relationships with internal colleagues and our customers
  • Arranging and attending Public Information Events
  • Analyse customer data to feed into scheme communications activity
  • Monitor email inbox

  • Previous experience in a communications role
