About the Role

The Roads Engineer is responsible for overseeing the implementation of civil works related to road construction. This includes ensuring that road projects are implemented according to approved specifications and standards, reviewing site delivery orders, and documenting them. The Roads Engineer is a key part of the team ensuring quality and compliance in road construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on the implementation of civil works in road projects, ensuring they adhere to approved specifications and standards
  • Review site delivery orders and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Ensure that all road works are implemented according to the project's specifications and standards
  • Ensure compliance with applicable road construction standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, including updates on milestones, issues, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Document all project phases and maintain records of the road construction activities
  • Monitor and supervise material testing and quality assurance to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors,, and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and efficient project execution.

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the same field1.
  • Experience in executing all types of civil works and knowledge of project practices, standards, procedures, specifications, and preparation and review of construction and architectural studies, documents, and material and equipment specifications
