Context
We are seeking an experienced Road Project Manager with a strong background in coordinating design activities within the road sector. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working on complex road infrastructure projects.

Depending on your level of experience, the job of a Project Coordinator will require you to be able to:
- Manage design project(s) and/or bids ensuring the necessary resources and activity to deliver on time and to client satisfaction including performance, contract and risk management (supported by others as necessary, eg. legal or contractual experts).
- Experienced design activities coordinator in the roads sector, with a proven track record of working on projects with CNAIR & CNIR as the Beneficiary
- Maintain relationship and regular contact with Clients, Partners, Subcontractors - accurately identifying project needs and effectively finding and negotiating solutions to meet them.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring they are accurately forecast, monitored and regularly reviewed. Also responsible for planning of project workload, invoices/payments etc under the guidance of the design manager
- Identify solutions and resources to solve problems and meet the needs of the projects(s), coordinating with others (eg design coordinator, or other departments in the group) to ensure project needs are met.
- Adhere to project management processes and seek to improve the efficiency of the where possible
- Maintain awareness of current issues and trends in the market, especially those with direct impact on projects.
- Provide technical input on the identification, preparation and/or negotiation of commercial offers/bids under the guidance of the design manager
- Effectively manage the internal co-ordination required to formulate teams and demonstrate a mature and balanced approach to managing conflict in the team
We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have:
- At least 10 years of proven experience in a similar position in an international company in the field of infrastructure design in Romania
- Construction Engineering degree (CFDP)
- Prior experience in managing international contracts (including public procurement laws, international contractual standards
- Strong sense of responsibility, high standards of ethical behaviour and ability to work independently and take decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems, based on evidence and justification and be able to simplify and cut through complexity as necessary.
- Flexibility and adaptability, including the ability to work under stress and extended hours and manage priorities and risks at high speed
- Good skills in organising, scheduling, planning, able to delegate tasks and responsibilities where appropriate
- Confident, clear and polite style of verbal communication one-to-one or in a group, including ‘active’ listening.
- Strong computer skills (proficiency in recognised design software – especially Civil 3D and Microsoft applications). Familiar with BIM.
- Fluent in Romanian. Good spoken and written English.
