About the Role

To identify, analyze, monitor, and mitigate risks related to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) works under an Ashghal Performance-Based Contract. The role focuses on operational, technical, interface, and compliance risks across ITS assets, systems integration, and O&M activities.

  • Develop, maintain, and update project risk registers in line with Ashghal risk management requirements.
  • Identify ITS-specific risks related to:
  • RMC systems, tunnel management systems, CCTV, VMS and field devices.
  • System integration, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness
  • Interfaces with civil, MEP, tunnel, traffic management, and third-party stakeholders
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments (probability–impact analysis).
  • Define and monitor risk mitigation, contingency, and corrective action plans.
  • Track high-risk and emerging risks and report to Risk Manager.
  • Support compliance with Ashghal KPIs, contractual obligations, and audit requirements.
  • Participate in risk workshops, emergency preparedness drills, and readiness reviews.
  • Coordinate with ITS engineers, O&M teams, subcontractors, OEMs, and Ashghal representatives.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and submissions for client review.
  • Ensure risks are integrated with programme, cost, quality, HSE, and operational controls.

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, ITS, Systems, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with strong exposure to ITS projects.
  • Proven experience on Ashghal projects or large government infrastructure contracts in Qatar.
  • Hands-on experience in risk management for:
  • ITS design, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, or O&M.
  • Strong understanding of Performance-Based Contracts (PBC)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and reporting tools

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience working on strategic highways, tunnels, or RMC operations.
  • Familiarity with Ashghal systems such as QPRO, Maximo, and KPI reporting frameworks would be an added advantage.
  • MMUP/UPDA certification
