About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer - Site to join our team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain construction standards
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, highlighting any issues or potential risks
- Manage project documentation, including technical drawings, contracts, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve technical issues and implement solutions
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings where possible
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required
- Mentor and supervise junior engineering staff on-site
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred
- UAE experience is required. Minimum 5 years as Resident Engineer with 18+ total years of experience.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and site safety practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE, particularly in Ras Al-Khaimah
- Outstanding project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
