About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our port construction project in Kuwait City, Kuwait. As the Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the project management, construction management, design review, and construction supervision of our state-of-the-art port facility.
- Lead and manage the on-site engineering team, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Oversee daily construction activities, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Oversee regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems that arise during the construction process
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate various aspects of port construction, including marine engineering elements
- Oversee project management systems and tools to track progress and manage resources effectively
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards and environmental regulations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical matters between the project team and client representatives
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of experience
- Proven expertise in construction supervision for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in project management software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Experience with international port projects is highly desirable
- Willingness to relocate to Kuwait for the duration of the project
