We are at an exciting point of growth and are looking for an experienced Rail Recruitment Business Partner to join our expanding recruitment team and support recruitment needs on major Rail projects. We are looking for someone who wants to join a growing team, has a positive can-do attitude combined with strong recruitment experience and a desire to succeed through hard work.

As an experienced Recruitment Business Partner with a background recruiting in the Rail sector, you’ll bring your knowledge, technical expertise, and confidence to challenge current thinking. You understand how a collaborative, innovative and empowering approach can influence change and engage others.

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager for Transportation, you will take responsibility for the recruitment of key areas in the Rail division. You shall facilitate the end-to-end recruitment process, providing a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

We offer a Hybrid work model. The role shall require you to work from the Egis head office in Southwark, London three days a week.


About the Role

 

  • Take responsibility for sourcing and shortlisting candidates for roles in the Rail sector across Engineering, Project Management, Commercial and Project Controls with knowledge of Rail vacancies, companies and projects.
  • Relationship building with internal Line Managers, candidates and recruitment suppliers as well as the wider HR team.
  • Recruiting and sourcing candidates directly for a range of roles using internal networking, LinkedIn Recruiter and other online media.
  • Recruitment System Administration - writing and posting vacancies & job adverts, amending and extending vacancies, setting up candidate interviews, progressing offers of employment and chasing approvals in conjunction with the HR team.
  • End to end candidate management duties including, pre-screening, telephone interviews, Line Manager interview set up, job offer support, and on-boarding.
  • Run targeted recruitment campaigns and initiatives, with a direct hire first mentality
  • Establish and maintain talent pools and create pipelines of engaged candidates.
  • Maintain a recruitment tracker, detailing all vacancies and what stage we are at in the hiring process.

What do we need from you

Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced Rail recruiter, ideally with experience working inhouse within a similar field.  

  • A LinkedIn Recruiter expert, with the confidence to directly approach individuals. Able to sell the opportunity, instilling confidence and building rapport with candidates.
  • Collaborative team player who takes initiative and ownership to work independently, seeing projects through to completion
  • The ability to write strong job descriptions and adverts that entice individuals to want to join us.
  • Ability to manage expectations, pushing back and challenging where needed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong working relationships with candidates, recruiting colleagues and employees at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to representing the Group in a professional way in multiple forums, in person, on the phone or via email
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly; ability to tactfully and sensitively deal with different queries and situations
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
