About the Role

Recruitment Business Partner

This role will be on a 12-month contract with the view to a permanent position.

We are at an exciting point of growth and are now looking for an experienced Recruitment Business Partner, taking responsibility for Omnia Projects (Transmission & Distribution) recruitment UK wide as well as supporting the wider Energy & Sustainable Cities Business Line across the UK&I. An experienced recruiter from an engineering recruitment agency from within the Energy sector or a mix of agency and in-house experience would excel in this role!

As an experienced Recruitment Business Partner, you’ll bring your knowledge, expertise, and an established network of contacts from within the energy sector specialising in engineering services and Transmission & Distribution or similar.

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager for Energy & Sustainable Cities you shall take full responsibility for the recruitment for Omnia projects. You shall facilitate the end to end recruitment process for both permanent and contingent hires, providing a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

We offer a Hybrid work model. The role shall require you to work from our Manchester Egis office 2-3 days per week, with visits to the Omnia Projects head office in North Allerton and attending the London Egis office 1-2 days per month.

 

Job description

  • Take responsibility for sourcing and shortlisting of candidates for a number of different technical role across the UK
  • Draw up engaging recruitment adverts, posting these on to a number of relevant platforms.
  • Targeted recruitment approach aligned with KPIs set by Recruitment Manager  and maintaining accurate tracking of recruitment metrics to provide regular reports to management.
  • Establish, build and maintain a new database of candidates and create pipelines of engaged candidates for both permanent and contingent workforce
  • Run targeted recruitment campaigns and initiatives, with a direct hire first mentality
  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter to headhunt and approach candidates directly.
  • Support hiring managers in the creation of effective and accurate job descriptions.
  • Report and track all recruitment activities delivering insightful and real-time data to stakeholders
  • Manage the offer process, negotiating with candidates and liaising with the HR Teams to ensure contracts of employment are issued in a timely manner.

What do we need from you

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the recruitment market in the UK – have a strong understanding of the energy (Engineering Services and Transmission & Distribution) sector sourcing both office and site-based roles (white and blue collar)
  • Strong project management skills – ability to manage a large volume of requisitions and ensure these are approached in a methodical way.
  • Strong networking capability – existing network from within the energy and T&D sectors across the UK.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of resourcing technologies and social networking to build diverse talent pools and growing a database of candidates  
  • ATS expertise, varied search and sourcing methods, LinkedIn, talent pooling and market mapping
  • Collaborative team player who takes initiative and ownership to work independently, seeing projects through to completion
  • Ability to manage expectations, pushing back and challenging where needed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong working relationships with candidates, recruiting colleagues and employees at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills would be highly advantageous but is not essential
