We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a crucial role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of our operations.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and equipment
- Conduct on-site measurements and quantity take-offs to ensure precision in cost calculations
- Analyze contract documents, drawings, and specifications to identify potential cost implications
- Manage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claims
- Prepare and review interim and final payment applications
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to optimize project costs
- Monitor project budgets and forecast cash flow requirements
- Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements for management review
- Assist in the resolution of contractual and financial disputes
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia
- Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contract negotiations
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the Saudi Arabian construction industry
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proven experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and project management
- Thorough understanding of Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and construction laws
- Familiarity with international construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction standards and regulations
- Arabic language skills preferred
- Willingness to work on-site and travel within Saudi Arabia as required
