We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budgets.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyse costs, value, and risks associated with tenders and contracts
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs
- Prepare bills of quantities and other tender documents
- Manage, analyse, and report on commercial and contractual aspects throughout the project lifecycle
- Negotiate and agree on interim valuations, claims, and final accounts
- Advise on procurement strategy and contractual procedures
- Allocate work to subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks
- Provide cost advice and forecasting throughout the construction process
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost engineering
- Rail projects experience is a must
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Strong contract administration skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
