About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor - Civil to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in managing costs for civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects
  • Analyse costs, value, and risks associated with tenders and contracts
  • Produce bills of quantities and other tender documents
  • Advise on procurement strategy and contractual matters
  • Monitor and report on project costs and budgets throughout the construction process
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts
  • Negotiate and agree on interim and final accounts with clients and contractors
  • Analyse completed projects to improve future cost planning
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals in the construction industry
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering quantity surveying
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods
  • Experience in cost estimation, cost control, and contract administration
  • Thorough understanding of civil engineering projects and construction processes
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
