We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Material Engineer to join our team for a major port project in Kuwait. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality control and material management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for the port construction project
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and international quality standards
- Analyze and approve construction materials, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues
- Perform material testing and analysis, interpreting results and making recommendations
- Prepare detailed quality reports and present findings to project leadership
- Implement and maintain a robust documentation system for all quality control activities
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members on quality control and material management best practices
- Ensure adherence to local and international construction codes and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control and material engineering
- Good knowledge of quality control methodologies and material testing techniques
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Familiarity with international quality standards for construction projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
