About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) – MEP with 8–10 years of relevant experience in commercial projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing the cost and commercial aspects of MEP works, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and payment certification.

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for MEP works.
  • Review MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and quantities.
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders, quotations, and commercial proposals.
  • Manage the cost control and commercial aspects of MEP packages throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and verify contractor/subcontractor measurements, invoices, and payment applications.
  • Prepare and evaluate variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and variations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, MEP engineers, consultants, contractors, and procurement teams.
  • Prepare cost reports, financial statements, and commercial updates for management.
  • Support procurement activities and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
  • Maintain accurate records of all commercial and contractual documentation.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and support effective cost management strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills


What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in MEP quantity surveying and cost management.
  • Strong experience in commercial projects such as hotels, hospitals, offices, retail, mixed-use developments, and high-rise buildings.
  • Good knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing/PHE, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, cost estimation, and contract administration.
  • Experience in handling variations, claims, interim payments, and final accounts.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying/cost management software.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial practices.
