We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical QA/QC Engineer (Saudi National) to join our site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. As a key member of our site supervision team, you will work collaboratively with project management teams, contractors, and clients to maintain the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce Project Quality Plans, procedures, specifications, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for all construction activities with meticulous attention to detail
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, guidelines, forms, data collection tools, reporting systems, and checklists to drive performance and ensure full compliance
- Plan, execute, and actively participate in internal and external quality audits, including supplier audits, while ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle, proactively identifying and addressing potential quality issues to prevent scope and quality deviations
- Supervise on-site and off-site construction activities, including mock-ups, samples, and manufacturing processes (FAT/SAT), with a focus on quality excellence
- Lead and champion change management initiatives for product quality improvements, ensuring effective implementation of new standards and processes across all teams
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to project management teams and contractors on quality requirements and QMS implementation, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
- Facilitate regular quality surveillance and coordination meetings to drive continuous improvement and share best practices
- Monitor and oversee contractors' QMS implementation during project execution, ensuring alignment with organizational standards
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of construction activities, including excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, structural works, masonry, and finishing
- Review and verify material test reports, mix designs, and calibration certificates to ensure compliance with approved specifications
- Ensure all materials delivered to the site comply with approved material submittals and relevant standards, maintaining transparent documentation
- Coordinate effectively with clients and contractors on inspection requests and quality-related matters, demonstrating clear communication and professionalism
- Maintain comprehensive and organized quality control records, including inspection reports, test results, Site Observation Reports (SORs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Manage NCRs with decisiveness, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions
- Verify that all construction practices comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements, maintaining assertive quality standards
- Assist in the review and approval of QA/QC documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all activities comply with safety and environmental requirements, demonstrating commitment to organizational values
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide constructive feedback for process optimization
- Analyze quality data to identify systemic issues and report on KPIs, PQIs, and dashboards, leveraging analytical skills for informed decision-making
- Lead site walkthroughs, raise punch list items, and review handover documentation packages with resilience and attention to detail
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Quality Manager, Program Director, and Client representatives with transparency and professionalism
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction or related industries
- ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems) certification is an advantage
- ISO 19011:2018 (Audit Management) certification is an advantage
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and analyzing technical drawings and specifications
- Strong expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience with non-conformance reporting and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Knowledge of construction materials testing methods and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
- Good Experience in using Aconex
- Analytical mindset with ability to make sound and timely quality-related decisions
- Collaborative approach to working with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Familiarity with Saudi building codes and regulations
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Licensed Civil Engineer credential
- Project management experience or certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Experience with data analysis tools and quality dashboards
- Stakeholder management and client coordination experience
- Experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
