We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA/QC Engineer to join our site team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and relevant codes.
- Implement and monitor Project Quality Plans, Procedures, Specification, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for all construction works.
- Develop and maintain QMS such as new procedures, guidance, forms, data collection, reporting and checklists to optimize processes, improve performance, and enforce QMS procedures.
- Ability to plan, execute and participate internal/external quality audits, supplier audits, and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and assess project risk and mitigation throughout the project lifecycle, proactively addressing potential issues to prevent scope and quality deviation.
- Supervise on-site and off-site construction activities, including mockups, samples and manufacturing processes FAT / SAT.
- Lead the change management process for product quality improvements, ensuring successful implementation and adoption of new quality standards and processes.
- Provide 'day to day' support and advice to the project management team and contractors, regarding the implementation of the project quality requirements and management system arrangements.
- Lead regular surveillance and meetings to establish an action plan for improving the project quality.
- Monitor and oversight contractors QMS implementation during project execution works.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of construction activities, including excavation, formworks, reinforcement, concreting, structural, masonry, and finishing works.
- Review and verify material test reports, mix designs, and calibration certificates.
- Ensure all materials delivered to the site comply with approved Material Submittals and standards.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants for inspection requests and quality-related issues.
- Maintain and update Quality Control Records, including inspection reports, test results, Site Observations Reports (SOR) and non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Manage NCRs, investigate root causes, and develop preventive actions and process-improvement by using Six Sigma or lean methods.
- Monitor construction practices to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Assist in the review and approval of QA/QC documentation.
- Ensure work execution adheres to safety and environmental standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process enhancement.
- Analyze quality data to identify systemic issues for improvements and report quality KPIs, PQI and Dashboards.
- Leading the site walkthrough, raising Puch list items and review the Handing Over documentation packages.
- Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly to Quality Manager, Program Director and Client representative.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- ISO 9001:2015 QMS and ISO 19011:2018 Audit Management Certification
- Licensed Civil Engineer (preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Experience with quality management systems
- Expertise in non-conformance reporting and corrective actions
- Knowledge of construction materials testing methods
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to make decisive and efficient quality-related decisions
- Collaborative approach to working with project teams and stakeholders
