About the Role

  • Lead the detailed design, contract procurement and construction phase of a flood relief schemes.
  • Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary team, local authorities, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, specifications and contract documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and engineering standards.

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years in project management.
  • Experience in flood risk management, or drainage design, or water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, planning processes, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., MS Project, QGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Driving licence.
