About the Role

The Project Manager – Bridges is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing bridge design and inspection projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality standards. The role also includes assisting with proposal development and submissions for bridge projects.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage all phases of multi-disciplinary bridge design projects.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with design teams, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and engineering standards.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets.
  • Manage change orders.
  • Complete project invoices and track sub consultant payments

Contract & Stakeholder Management

  • Administer contracts and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Conduct progress meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective communication with regulatory authorities.
  • Resolve disputes and technical challenges.

Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits.
  • Implement corrective actions when required.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/local safety regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture on site.
  • Review and approve safety plans and method statements.

Reporting

  • Prepare regular progress reports.
  • Provide updates to senior management.

What do we need from you

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred/required depending on region).
  • 6-10 years of experience.
  • Proven experience managing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with CHBDC, AASHTO, ASTM, and relevant local standards.
