About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Project Director to lead our Design Build Rail Project in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of this major infrastructure initiative, ensuring its successful delivery from conception to completion.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire design and build rail project
- Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary teams, including internal staff and external contractors
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective solutions to overcome challenges
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive innovation and best practices in rail infrastructure development
- Report project progress, issues, and achievements to senior management and stakeholder.
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 25 years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on rail sector
- Proven track record in successful delivery of design and build projects
- Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary coordination and contractor management
- Strong understanding of rail sector regulations, standards, and best practices
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a complex project environment
- Superior communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
