The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

About the Role

We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and we are looking for a Project Delivery Assistant to support the successful delivery of highways and technology schemes across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility through design and construction to handover — while ensuring efficient planning and coordination of road space. The role combines operational scheduling responsibilities (including road-space bookings, Traffic Management planning and specialist plant coordination) with broader project delivery support, such as project planning, risk identification, cost and progress tracking, stakeholder engagement and reporting. Working closely with inspection leads, designers, asset teams, Project Managers, framework contractors and external stakeholders, the postholder helps keep programmes moving at pace, ensures road-space and inspection activities align with wider project objectives, and contributes to safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of schemes. The role also supports the monitoring of delivery performance, promotes proactive problem-solving and helps maintain compliance with relevant contractual, safety and reporting requirements.

DIMENSIONS Financial: Organisational: The role works across CPS, involving close co-operation with other teams within Asset and Project Delivery, Engineering, Service Delivery and external parties. Excellent working relationships with all stakeholders are an essential part of the role.

ACCOUNTABILITIES · Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility through design and construction — ensuring schedules, dependencies and inspection activities align with project objectives.
