About the Role

In your role as Project Coordinator, Major Projects, you will support the day to day management and implementation of major projects.

  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure all technical specifications and sustainability targets are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and other documentation related to program objectives.
  • Review designs, technical submittals, and construction activities to ensure compliance with the program’s objectives.
  • Track project progress against approved schedules and budgets, identify risks, and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and facilitate effective communication.
  • Support the change management process by documenting technical variations and assessing their potential impact.
  • Contribute to the preparation and implementation of Project Execution Plans (PEPs) for sustainability-related initiatives.

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or a related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a engineering services and consulting environment.
  • Prior experience working on large-scale infrastructure or construction programs is highly desirable.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration with PEO Ontario.
  • Strong technical understanding of project delivery phases (design, planning, and construction).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with progressive contracting models (e.g., Progressive Design-Build, Target Cost) is an asset.
