The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.
We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and looking for a Project Controls Analyst to join our team. This role is central to monitoring projects by integrating scope, value, schedule and risks, and analysing data to provide performance and overall results to the Delivery Team and key stakeholders.
The Project Controls Analyst will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, Commercial Team, Planning Team, Design Team and Framework Contractors to produce accurate, timely and reliable performance reports, including regular reports showing achievements and/or variation against agreed baselines and providing reasons for deviation
Responsibilities:
- Collect and communicate commercial and programme baselines that will be set for performance monitoring and reporting.
- Provide Project Controls Analytics to Portfolio Managers and Project Managers across CPS, including production and maintenance of accurate, timely and reliable performance results on CPS Delivery.
- Provision of internal and external reports on delivery performance to support internal and external reports to CPS, CP, National Highways and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the monthly commercial forecast and programme schedule align and the delivery assumptions in both the commercial forecast and schedule forecast are matching. Query any discrepancies as necessary with the Project Managers, Commercial and Planning Teams.
- Produce internal reports covering delivery performance and contractual compliance providing insight into KPIs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure monthly reports meet timescales and quality criteria.
- Use the performance data to create benchmarks for future projects by asset type.
- Ensure that common coding structures are applied throughout the programme to allow reporting
The following qualities / experience are essential:
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, preferably including mathematics or technically-base subjects
- Experience of working with NEC contracts preferred
- Experience of working in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Analytical skills that allow for development of data-driven reports
- Ability to use SQL, PowerBI and/or Microsoft Excel to develop and produce quality dashboards and reports
- Knowledge and experience of handling large volumes of data with the ability to summarise key points and trends
- Close attention to detail that could impact results
- Highly organised and able to handle many ongoing priorities without impact on outputs
