Egis, in partnership with DB holds the PMO (Project Management Office) mission and is in charge of project management on behalf of EDZL.
Egis/ DB has organized a PM team of about 15 people working on site in Riga. Egis/ DB is in charge of the complete rehabilitation of the station including infrastructure works (bride, tracks…), track and system and buildings activities.
The JV is composed of: Egis Rail in charge of track’s expertise and Project management, DB in charge of rail and infrastructures expertise and EBI in charge of building’s activities. The position of building supervisor consists of being the main representative for the building activities on site and deal with the supervision of the subcontractor in charge of the building supervision, the finalization of the design review when necessary and organize the design modification review process.
The usual language of the project is English, a perfect mastery of English, written as oral is necessary. Use of Latvian or/and French will be an advantage.
Comprehensive description of duties:
- The Progress Engineer shall be the main contact on Site for the performance of buildings activities.
- He shall be in direct contact with the Project Director on Site in charge of the overall activities for the Engineer’s contract.
- Participation to regular meeting with Client and the GC under the control of the Project’s Director.
- To write the reports necessary for the progress and smooth running of the project.
- To write Monthly reports.
- Ensure the collection and monitoring of all the inputs necessary for the establishment of monthly reports.
- To follow the planning progress of the Contractor.
- To follow the planning progress of the Engineer.
- To participate in the development of claims.
- To collaborate with the Work Volume Engineer.
- Participate in Client meetings when his presence is required.
- Participate in Contractor meetings when his presence is required.
- Participate in any other meeting when his presence is required and requested by the Project Director.
- To write the Minutes of Meeting of the meetings in which he participates.
- Ensure the site visits necessary to quantify and ensure the smooth running of the work schedule.
Education/qualification:
Master degree in building engineering
Experience in Progress Engineering
Experience in progress engineering on at least 1 public project which has been commissioned > 100m€ (*) during the last five years
Primary expectations:
Minimum 8 years’ experience as Progress Engineer in construction projects. Proficiency in usual softwares: Excel, Word, DCS accessibility. Skills in Primavera software mandatory. Perfect understanding and expression in English written and spoken (C1) – French or Latvian can be advantages. Working experience with FIDIC conditions of contract. Autonomous. Permanent presence on site (Riga, Latvia) is required.
