About the Role

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team based in Dubai and oversee the procurement operation of the United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of services, plant and material.

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement needs
  • Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to payment
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and vendors
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and risk management strategies
  • Utilize procurement software and ERP systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement
  • Prepare and present procurement performance reports to senior management

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, preferably in major infrastructure or transportation projects
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, processes, and best practices
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and vendor management
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
  • Strong decision-making abilities and capacity to analyze complex situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and practices
  • Experience in metro or mass transit projects is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
