As a procurement and supply assistant you will assist the Procurement Team in contributing to the sourcing of new suppliers using market research, supporting a wide range of procurement processes including the conduct of tenders for materials, plant & services. You will liaise with suppliers and project staff daily and will conduct all procurement activities in accordance with the company regulations and procedures.
What will you be doing as our new Level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship?
Term: 18-24 months Fixed Term Contract
Salary £22,000 per annum.
You will primarily work on our Old Oak Common project but will be asked to work on other projects as and when required.
As an apprentice, you will be expected to work 5 days per week at Old Oak Common with 20% of your time undertaking your Level 3 Procurement & SupplyApprentiship
We are looking for someone who wants to learn and gain the skills, knowledge, and experience of the Procurement side of our business,
The role's main purpose is to maintain the project filing system and prepare documents for storage/archiving as appropriate. Reporting to the Lead Document Controller, the successful candidate will support team members in maintaining the smooth running of the administration function and will be working closely with the design team.
Key responsibilities:
- Support with developing Invitation to Tender packs in readiness to advertise to the marketplace and uploading opportunities to CompeteFor and Asite.
- Advise key internal and external stakeholders on the procurement policies and procedures within the organisation.
- Assist with the management of Tenders in the marketplace e.g., managing supplier clarifications, and downloading supplier bids.
- Work with technical leads and estimators to obtain quotes for products.
- Raise purchase requisitions and ensure that any assigned purchasing requisitions are delivered in a timely manner and in line with the project requirements
- Record and report savings in accordance with established guidelines
- Engage and communicate efficiently with internal customers and other functions as necessary in executing project activities
- Maintain an ethical approach to tasks and relationships in accordance with relevant Anthro policies
- Assisting the Buyers in expediting open purchase orders to ensure goods are delivered on time
- Assist in resolving counts queries by analysing SAP and discussing with the supplier
- Conduct procurement activities in accordance with company and departmental procedures and governance guidelines
- Support with monthly procurement reporting activities.
- Undertake market research and benchmarking through desktop activities.
- Conduct due diligence in supplier sourcing – undertaking pre-qualification of potential suppliers using tools in place.
- Support procurement team in a wide range of activities.
Essential Criteria:
- Possesses a good understanding of administrative processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex and technical information with clarity.
- Adept in using MS Office programs, namely Excel and Word.

Must have the right to work in the UK and have been in the UK for over 3 years
This will be site-based at Old Oak Common Station, Old Oak Common Lane, London, NW10 6DZ, so ideally, you will be based in the local community.
4 (Higher) considered equivalent to a foundation degree:
We will look for GCSEs and level 3 qualifications, such as A-levels, or their equivalents, such as a BTEC.
Minimum Standard Grade ’C’ Grade (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
