About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules to ensure successful project execution and timely completion.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather accurate project information and requirements
- Analyze project data to identify potential risks, conflicts, and opportunities for optimization
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, and other relevant metrics
- Monitor project progress against established timelines and budgets, identifying and reporting any deviations
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate delays and keep projects on track
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, work breakdown structures, and cost estimates
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and updates, incorporating changes as necessary
- Support the project team in risk assessment and contingency planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 10 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, in the construction or infrastructure sector
- Valid membership with the Kuwait Society Engineers (KSE)
- Proficiency in project management software, including Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining complex project schedules
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles and best practices
- Familiarity with construction industry standards, methodologies, and terminology
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and liaise effectively with various stakeholders
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Adaptability and resilience in handling changing project requirements and priorities
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
