About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Planning Engineer to manage the planning and scheduling activities for a Pedestrian Bridge Construction Project in Dubai. The ideal candidate must be a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience on bridge projects in Dubai and have a strong working knowledge of RTA procedures and standards. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery in compliance with client and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, covering all construction phases from mobilization to handover.

  • Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the baseline schedule.

  • Prepare look-ahead programs, progress reports, and recovery plans in case of delays.

  • Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress against planned timelines.

  • Integrate project milestones and deliverables with RTA approval processes, traffic diversion programs, and authority permits.

  • Analyze critical path, float, and resource allocation to optimize project timelines.

  • Participate in project progress meetings and provide schedule updates to management and client representatives.

  • Support claim preparation, extension of time (EOT) analysis, and delay impact assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with RTA project planning guidelines and coordinate closely with RTA project control teams.

  • Maintain and update project documentation, schedules, and reports in coordination with document control.


What do we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

  • Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in planning for bridge or pedestrian bridge construction projects, preferably with projects approved by RTA.

  • Proven experience working with RTA projects, familiar with their procedures, submittals, and reporting formats.

  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and infrastructure project workflows.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
