We are seeking a highly skilled Piping CAD Designer specializing in nuclear applications to join our team in Navi Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing complex piping systems for nuclear power plants using advanced CAD software while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D piping models and drawings using CAD software for nuclear power plant projects
- Develop piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material specifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and project managers, to ensure design integration and consistency
- Perform piping stress analysis and design appropriate support systems
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to resolve design issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CAD software, nuclear industry standards, and best practices in piping design
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in piping design, preferably in the nuclear industry
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of piping design principles, standards, and nuclear industry regulations
- Experience with piping stress analysis and support design
- Familiarity with nuclear power plant systems and components
- Excellent technical drawing and 3D modeling skills
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering specifications and drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant certifications in CAD software or nuclear industry standards (e.g., ASME certifications) are preferred
- Knowledge of local and international nuclear safety and regulatory compliance standards
