The OCS Expert will provide technical expertise and guidance, ensuring that all OCS projects adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance within the local context. The expert will contribute to Egis’s technical excellence and visibility among clients and prospects, engage in innovative practices, and share knowledge within the Group.
- Analyze offers and draft summary reports and specifications at all stages of design (tender, preliminary design, definitive design, project),
- Participate in the selection of technical solutions (financial estimates, sizing of technical solutions, installation diagnostics),
- Lead the technical design and implementation of OCS solutions for projects, ensuring compliance with local standards and project specifications,
- Conduct inspections to assess the quality of work and ensure the technical acceptance of installations at the end of the works, specifying corrective work if necessary,
- Actively contribute to the group's technical signature visibility among our clients and prospects (e.g., publishing technical articles, participating in tenders, speaking at specialized conferences, mentoring),
- Contribute to technical communities and collaborate with the Egis Experts network to integrate and disseminate best practices,
- Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization,
- Maintain external accreditations and an in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulations and industry best practices.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in an appropriate university engineering degree, or equivalent qualification such as a degree in mechanical engineering.
- Extensive experience in rail OCS / civil engineering with a strong focus on technical excellence.
- Proven experience in presenting at technical conferences and publishing in academic journals.
- In-depth knowledge of international railway OCS standards, in design and build context of railway in an international environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on effective engagement with diverse stakeholders and presenting complex information clearly,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical and innovative solutions, and methodically process and organize technical information from various documents,
- Ability to share and transmit expertise,
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level).
