Egis is building its data centre capability across the UAE and wider MESA region. This is a ground-floor opportunity shaping how we deliver, who we work with, and what we stand for in the market. We want someone who brings the expertise we are building towards and who wants to establish a practice, not just join one. You will act as Lead Design Consultant point of contact on data centre commissions, single point of accountability for multi-disciplinary design delivery across architectural, MEP, ELV, civil, and structural workstreams, from pre-concept through to site close-out.
- Act as LDC point of contact - single point of accountability for architectural, MEP, ELV, civil, structural, and specialist design workstreams
- Lead multi-disciplinary bids from LDC-stage through to appointment
- Own the full design lifecycle from pre-concept and FEED through detailed design, IFC, and site close-out
- Drive each design gateway, maintaining programme and technical ownership throughout
- Serve as the client's primary design interface - accountable for quality, coordination, and delivery across all disciplines
- Contribute to business development and pre-FEED client engagement as the practice grows
- 10+ years of MEP design experience with at least 3 years in a lead or management role
- Proven track record across the full project lifecycle on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Experienced leading multi-disciplinary teams and bids as LDC - not MEP in isolation
- Strong working knowledge of data centre MEP/ELV systems: HV/LV power, UPS, precision cooling, BMS/EPMS, ICT infrastructure, and fire suppression
- GCC experience and familiarity with ASHRAE, BS, and NFPA standards expected
- Degree-qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering; Chartered or working towards preferred
- BIM/Revit proficiency required
- 400+ strong, award-winning MEP/ELV team across UAE, KSA, India, Jordan, and Egypt
- Ground-floor opportunity to shape an emerging data centre practice in one of the world's most active mission-critical markets
- Real influence over how the practice takes shape, backed by the scale and resources of a global consultancy
- Competitive package and UAE benefits
