About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician (Roads O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment used in road infrastructure projects.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment used in road maintenance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in vehicles, heavy machinery, and other road maintenance equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and longevity of mechanical systems
- Calibrate and adjust mechanical components and equipment to meet performance specifications
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance using computer-aided maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex mechanical issues
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and operators
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in road maintenance and mechanical systems
What do we need from you
- Associate's degree or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in road maintenance or a similar field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and repair techniques
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and manuals
- Familiarity with heavy machinery and vehicles used in road maintenance
- Understanding of road infrastructure and maintenance practices
- Knowledge of local regulations and standards for road maintenance in Qatar
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
