We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Inspector experience 10 years in the feild to join our dynamic site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring that all mechanical systems, equipment, and installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. As a Mechanical Inspector, you'll be the eyes and ears on-site, conducting thorough inspections, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and project success.
- Perform comprehensive on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems, and components to verify quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards
- Conduct detailed assessments of mechanical installations, including HVAC systems, piping networks, industrial machinery, plumbing systems, firefighting systems, gas systems, and fuel systems
- Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and potential issues with precision and clarity during inspections
- Prepare thorough and well-organized inspection reports, maintaining accurate records and documentation of all findings
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address mechanical issues and implement solutions
- Verify that corrective actions are executed properly and completed within established timelines
- Stay current with evolving industry standards, regulations, best practices, and local Saudi codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, and applicable regulations)
- Participate actively in project meetings, providing technical expertise and insights to support project objectives
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all on-site activities and inspections
- Mentor and support junior inspection staff, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain organized records and utilize inspection software and documentation tools efficiently
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mechanical building services, including installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning
- Proven expertise in inspecting HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting systems, gas systems, and fuel systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components, material specifications, and building services
- Strong proficiency in mechanical inspection techniques, quality control protocols, and industry compliance standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, and local Saudi codes)
- Demonstrated proficiency with inspection, documentation, and reporting software and tools
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, project lifecycle management, and site operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve site issues efficiently and decisively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for effective coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining rigorous quality standards
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in dynamic, high-pressure environments
- Experience in engineering consultancies or similar organizations (preferred)
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide and support team members (preferred)
- Willingness to work across various project sites within Riyadh and, if required, across Saudi Arabia
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple project locations as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders
