About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Engineer to join our innovative team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Material Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing material selection, testing, and quality control for our cutting-edge projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of material performance and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Conduct comprehensive material tests and analyze results to ensure compliance with approved standards and specifications
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain material integrity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select appropriate materials for various applications, considering factors such as cost, performance, and sustainability
  • Monitor material performance in real-world conditions and prepare detailed analytical reports on findings
  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring the accuracy of test results and validity of samples
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols in material handling and testing procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with material and work quality standards
  • Develop and refine material testing methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in materials science and engineering, incorporating new technologies and techniques as appropriate
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve material-related issues and improve product quality

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in materials engineering or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of materials engineering principles, laboratory procedures, and specifications
  • Proven expertise in material testing, quality control, and performance analysis
  • Familiarity with a wide range of material types and their acceptance criteria
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, regulations, and quality control measures in materials engineering
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and materials modeling tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
  • Experience with project management and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of local building codes and standards in the United Arab Emirates
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and stay current with industry trends
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Certification in relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus
