About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mason to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in delivering high-quality masonry work on diverse construction projects. As a Mason, you'll bring precision, craftsmanship, and a collaborative spirit to every task, working alongside supervisors and other trades to ensure project success. Your expertise in brickwork, blockwork, and stonework will directly contribute to building the structures that shape our community.
- Perform brickwork, blockwork, stonework, plastering, screeding, and concrete repairs according to project specifications and drawings
- Read, interpret, and analyze construction drawings, layouts, and work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient execution of masonry works
- Construct and repair walls, partitions, foundations, pavements, and other structural elements with precision and attention to detail
- Prepare, mix, and manage mortar, cement, and other construction materials to the required standards
- Ensure all masonry work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations through consistent quality assurance
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized, and efficient condition at all times
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other construction trades to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth project execution
- Identify, document, and promptly report defects, material shortages, or site issues to supervisors for transparent communication
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address challenges and adapt to changing site conditions
- Maintain physical stamina and resilience while working in demanding Dubai site conditions
What do we need from you
- High School diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Mason in active construction projects
- Demonstrated expertise in blockwork, plastering, tiling, and concrete repair works
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting basic to intermediate construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and site safety practices
- Solid knowledge of mortar and cement mixing, material estimation, and quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to address on-site challenges
- Physical fitness and capability to work in demanding site conditions, including Dubai's climate
- Attention to detail and commitment to precision in all masonry work
- Organized approach to work with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a commitment to continuous improvement
