About Us

North-Link M1 Ltd is currently recruiting for a second Maintenance Technician to join the team! Northlink are the contractors to CRG to operate and manage the M1 Toll Plaza and motorway from Junction 7, Julianstown to Junction 18, Dundalk.

You will be comfortable working with low voltage electricity, IT systems and both software and hardware. This person will be a team player and capable to work using their own initiative with direction.


About the Role

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preventative and corrective maintenance for the tolling equipment, Administration Building and Maintenance Depot in Dunleer
  • Maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems at the Toll Plaza
  • Troubleshoot software issues
  • Work with Engineers and Suppliers to identify and solve problems and to improve the reliability of the tolling system
  • Ensure Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety compliance
  • Liaising with contractors, facilitating onsite visits and ensuring compliance with RAMS
  • Support the management team in the delivery of the Operations and Maintenance agreement
  • Assist with budget and expenditure reports
  • Manage and undertake improvement works on the Toll Plaza and tolling system
  • Other maintenance activities as directed

What do we need from you

  • Full or part qualified Electrical qualification
  • Safe pass
  • Full clean drivers licence - Class B
  • Own transport (for on-call requirement)
  • An additional qualification or experience or experience with IT/Software design & Maintenance/Operating Systems required
  • Relevant technical maintenance experience
  • Ability to read electronic circuit diagrams
  • Knowledge base in IT including but not limited to PC, Computer Network and Network infrastructures
  • Experience implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Ability to plan, organise and supervise planned/preventative maintenance programmes
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc
  • Good communication skills: verbal/written English
  • Adaptable and flexible with willingness to work irregular hours

Willingness to:

  • Provide out of hours on-call support on a rostered basis
  • Work outdoors and sometimes in adverse weather conditions
