About the Role

The hands-on implementation of the day-to-day Project Road maintenance requirements.

➢ To provide call-out cover to out-of-office hours’ emergency responses.

➢ To carry out routine maintenance activities including: ▪ Landscaping / Grass cutting ▪ Road Furniture cleaning ▪ Traffic Management ▪ Routine patrols & inspections of the road network ▪ Incident response ▪ Winter Maintenance ▪ Litter collection ▪ General maintenance duties ▪ Fencing repairs ▪ Small civil works including concrete repairs, ducting etc. ▪ Keep accurate records of tasks completed ▪ Complete training as required

➢ To undertake all allocated maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.  


What do we need from you

Qualifications / Education / Training

▪ 2nd level education

▪ Valid Safe Pass holder

Up-to-date training/qualifications in: ▪ Traffic Management ▪ Class C drivers licence. ▪ CSCS Excavator Operator Ticket ▪ CSCS Telescopic Handler Operator Ticket

Experience/ Knowledge

▪ Relevant experience with a background Construction or Maintenance

. ▪ Evidence of practical experience in one or more of the routine maintenance activities listed above

▪ An understanding of and commitment to health and safety practices and principles

▪ Experience in a similar role

▪ Experience of road construction/maintenance

▪ Knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices used in performing the road maintenance activities

Skills/Abilities

▪ Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

▪ Good standard of written and spoken English

▪ Technology – Ability to navigate mobile devices easily & associated apps/tools for recording of works.

▪ Self-motivated and enthusiastic ▪ Good interpersonal skills ▪ Adaptable and flexible with a willingness to learn new job specific skills Additional Requirements Willingness to: ▪ Provide 24/7 on-call cover on a rostered basis ▪ Work irregular hours ▪ Perform night work as required ▪ Own transport (for on-call requirement)
