About Us

RIngsend Toll Bridge, commonly known as the East-Link Toll Bridge, is located in Dublin's docklands area and forms part of the R131 regional road, linking the city centre to the eastern side of Dublin and Dublin Port. It is the most easterly crossing of the Liffey and replaced historical ferries that operated at this location since 1655.

It plays a key role in Dublin's transport infrastructure, connecting major routes on the north and south banks of the Liffey.


About the Role

  • Hands-on implementation of the day-to-day Project Road maintenance requirements
  • Provide call-out cover to out-of-office hours emergency responses
  • Carry out routine maintenance activities including:
  • Daily equipment checks
  • - Cash reconciliation
  • - Traffic Management
  • - Winter Maintenance
  • - Tom Clarke Bridge maintenance
  • - Pavement repairs
  • - Weather warning preparation
  • - Emergency Response
  • - Bridge Maintenance
  • - Cleaning of some internal areas of RTB e.g. booths
  • - Accident Damage Repair (boom and other equipment’s)
  • - Duty Supervisor support
  • - Landscaping / Grass cutting / Weed control
  • - Litter collection
  • - General maintenance duties
  • - Incident Response
  • - Compliant to H&S Rules
  • To undertake all allocated maintenance tasks as directed by the Duty Supervisor

Willingness to:

  • Perform night work as required
  • Provide 24/7 on-call cover on a rostered basis
  • Work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions
  • Work irregular hours

What do we need from you

Essential:

  • 2nd level education
  • Class C drivers’ licence
  • Valid Safe Pass holder
  • Relevant experience with a background in Maintenance.
  • Evidence of practical experience in one or more of the routine maintenance activities listed above
  • An understanding of and commitment to health and safety practices and principles

Desirable:

Up-to-date training/qualifications in:

  • Traffic Management
  • H&S Related training - First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling. Safety Rep.
  • Other complementary work-related training courses/qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices used in performing the road maintenance activities

Licence/Certification:

  • C Licence (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • Ireland (required)

Work Location: In person
