We are looking for a Maintenance and Facility Manager for our Sacramento, CA office to work on the CA HSR project.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert within the California HSR Authority
- Responsible for initial definition of maintenance requirements
- Establish and maintain asset management policies and routines, including:
- Asset inventory and criticality classification
- Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
- Inspection and condition-monitoring plans, thresholds, and escalation rules
- Specification of associated support facilities at the end of the design phase
- Supporting designers through to the start of construction
- Scope of Support Facilities:
- Maintenance of Way Facilities (for HSR infrastructure)
- Rolling Stock Maintenance Facilities (heavy and light)
- Operations Control Center (OCC)
- Railheads supporting HSR line construction
- Team Management:
- Directly oversees a rolling stock expert
- Manages, on a matrix basis, various discipline experts (track, catenary, signaling, telecom, and operations), as well as future designers.
Experience Required
- 15+ years in the rail industry: design, construction, and maintenance
- Minimum 2 years in a management or equivalent role overseeing rail infrastructure maintenance, ideally including track and/or catenary
- High technical expertise and autonomy in HSR infrastructure maintenance and asset management, including: Asset lifecycle planning and condition-based maintenance
- At least one experience on a new high-speed rail line project
- Engineering degree (Master’s or equivalent required)
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus
- Fluent English (mandatory)
- Proven leadership skills; ability to work in multicultural and international environments
- Rigorous, autonomous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to adapt communication from concise client summaries to detailed technical briefs for designers
- High technical expertise and autonomy, especially in HSR infrastructure maintenance
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected compensation range for this role is $190,000 to $220,000 annually. Compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.
