About the Role

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract.

This is a great opportunity to join a long-term, high-profile infrastructure project, with over 13 years remaining, offering both stability and real scope for career growth.

As a Linear Asset Technician, you will support the management and improvement of key network assets, working on forward planning, technical assessments and continuous improvement initiatives. The role offers a mix of office and site-based work, giving you valuable hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of stakeholders.

If you are looking to build your skills in a supportive environment while contributing to a complex and evolving network, this role offers both development and long-term opportunity.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will support the day-to-day management of key assets across the network, with a mix of site-based and office-based work.

You will:

· Carry out site visits to assess assets and upload accurate information to the asset register

· Help respond to technical and HAIL queries, working with others to find practical solutions

· Support the Linear Asset Manager with a range of activities, including:

o Reviewing Asset Management Forward Plans

o Gathering technical information on defects and repair approaches

o Preparing clear information for meetings and updates

This is a varied role where you will learn on the job, build your confidence, and contribute to improving how assets are managed across the network.
