- Reporting to the Legal Department Manager and collaborating with the Egis Group legal team, the Legal Advisor / Specialist will be responsible for:
- Assisting in managing the company’s contractual risk exposure across all contract types, including drafting, reviewing, amending, and negotiating various agreements and public contracts (e.g., design, design and build, turnkey contracts, consortium agreements, NDAs, etc.)
- Assisting the tendering unit for the preparation of offers, contract review and any other legal aspects through the entire phase of contracts assessment.
- Ensuring legal assistance (including legal review, opinions and correspondence) throughout the entire duration of contracts and afterwards, for any related aspects and problematics. If needed, being able to ensure representation in law courts for contractual related litigations
- Ensuring management of corporate governance formalities, including registration with the Trade Registry of all corporate modifications and other formalities under Company’s Law and representation before public authorities
- Ensuring compliance with legal, ethics and compliance procedures of the Group and related formalities
- Support for policies and procedures framework of the company by ensuring legal review and endorsement and drafting any new policies and procedures as needed for the legal and compliance functions
- Support for organizing and/or directly ensuring trainings and advice on legal, ethics and compliance matters as needed
- Ensuring general legal support for company’s departments in respect of specific matters/needs requiring legal input, including for the HR department and employment related matters
- Support for legislative updates / legislative newsletters according to the legislation modifications on relevant matters (engineering, construction, finance, employment)
- Collaborating with other departments of the company and Group Legal Department (including insurances, corporate, litigations), external counsels and third parties (clients, collaborators, public authorities)
- Ensuring proper entry and maintenance of contracts and proposals in organizational databases, complying with Egis internal processes
We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role within an international company, preferably in engineering or construction.
- Experience in drafting and handling international contracts (including public procurement laws, international contractual standards such as FIDIC, NEC, etc.)
- Law University degree
- Good skills in organizing, scheduling, planning
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Accountability and the ability to work independently remaining at all times a good team player
- Very good spoken and written English
- Strong computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft applications, internet navigating).
