About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planner - Railways to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive railway plans, ensuring efficient operations and infrastructure development.

  • Develop and maintain railway timetables, considering operational constraints and passenger demand
  • Analyse railway capacity and propose solutions to optimise network efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and coordinate railway infrastructure projects
  • Utilise project management software to track progress and manage resources effectively
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on railway planning initiatives and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian railway regulations and safety standards
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new railway routes and infrastructure improvements
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate planning decisions
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate railway performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning for railway network expansion and modernisation

What do we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in railway planning or a related field
  • Proficiency in project management software and railway planning and scheduling tools
  • Strong skills in data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated experience with railway operations and infrastructure planning
  • In-depth understanding of railway systems, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Expertise in railway capacity analysis and timetabling
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian railway regulations and standards preferred
  • Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is desirable
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong organisational abilities and efficient time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
