- Lead project delivery for marine projects and execute high-level technical work within set project schedules and budgets, overseeing projects as necessary.
- Innovate and address complex engineering challenges, offering inventive solutions to design issues.
- Act as a coastal / marine expert in client meetings, ensuring a thorough understanding of project requirements and nurturing strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with clients and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of design work.
- Foster collaboration with professionals from various disciplines, ensuring a holistic approach to project design and implementation.
- Supervise project staff to ensure their technical competence aligns with project requirements.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering their professional development.
- Review project standards and documents to ensure alignment with project objectives and compatibility of submitted materials.
- Hold a Master's Degree in Coastal/Marine/Civil Engineering
- Possess 12+ years of experience in coastal and marine engineering, demonstrating a proven track record in consultancy firms in the Middle East.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Showcase a diverse portfolio of successfully completed marine projects, highlighting unique challenges and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to environmentally sustainable engineering practices in marine project design and execution.
- Proficient in project management, proposal preparation, and client management.
- Ability to make appropriate judgments, decisions, and exercise initiative.
- Willingness to travel within the Middle East as required.
- Expertise in planning and designing marine projects, including waterfront development, island and marina master planning.
- In-depth knowledge of coastal and marine engineering design standards
- Broad experience in coastal processes and marine design, numerical modeling studies, and an understanding of environmental engineering and permitting requirements.
- Ability to prepare tender documentation
