As a result of our continued success and growth in the UK, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Commercial Manager to join our Nuclear UK branch in Bristol to help support our growth ambition in the UK.
As Lead Commercial Manager for Egis, and acting as the Deputy Project Director – Contract & Finance within the SICOS consortium on Hinkley Point C, the role is responsible for leading all contractual and financial aspects of the project and directly supporting the Project Director in the overall management of the consortium. This includes ensuring proper financial monitoring, contractual compliance, and risk management while coordinating with consortium partners, the client, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deputy to Project Director:
- Act as the primary deputy to the Project Director for all financial and contractual matters.
- Represent Egis and manage its interests within the consortium, including participation in key decision-making meetings.
- Support the Project Director in implementing the consortium’s organisation and ensuring coordination between technical, production, and financial teams.
Commercial, Contract & Finance Leadership:
- Lead all commercial, contractual, and financial activities of the project.
- Oversee the issuance and validation of Applications for Payment (AFP), invoices, and financial statements.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow, ensuring accurate reporting to Egis and the consortium.
- Manage contract administration, including risk and claim management, variations, and compliance with client and partner obligations.
- Supervise the performance of subcontractors engaged by Egis and within the deputy’s scope, including validation of commitments and payments.
Team & Coordination:
- Coordinate the Finance & Contract team, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
- Liaise with the PMO and Technical teams to align financial and contractual activities with project planning and production.
- Support internal and external audits on contract and finance matters.
Resource & Consortium Activities:
- Contribute to resource planning and validation during resource meetings with the Project Director.
- Support continuous improvement of procedures related to finance and contract management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Extensive experience in large-scale engineering projects, ideally in nuclear or infrastructure sectors
- Proven expertise in contract management, financial control, and commercial leadership
- Experience working in a joint venture or consortium environment
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills
- Fluent in English, French is an asset
- Right to work in the UK
