Egis Projects Philippines Inc (EPPI) provide services to private sector entities involved in the business of building, operating or managing roadways, railways, and other transportation infrastructure projects.
EPPI has been appointed to design, develop, support and maintain a tolling system based on free flow, nonstop operating mode. This toll system shall have components located on various points (tolling points) of the toll roads- Roadside Equipment (which is subcontracted), and 2 pieces of centralized equipment cloud-based (Operation Back Office and Commercial Back office), being developed by EPPI’s Software Development Center (SDC) team. These mainly consist of web-based software (Customer Portal, Account Management Systems, Customer Relationship Management system, Back-office portal), microservices back ends (API) and mobile apps, managing more than 3 million end user accounts.
IT infrastructure Architect overarching role is to lead MLFF IT infrastructure design, procurement, deployment, integration, support and maintenance.
Duties and responsibilities
- Defines the principles that guide IT infrastructure decisions for the MLFF Solution,
- Develops conceptual and logical designs, roadmaps, and other architectural deliverables for the MLFF Solution, both on premise and AWS-based.
- Designs the implementation of a technical architecture based on MLFF Solution contract requirements, including writing IT Infrastructure support and maintenance procedures and manuals.
- Collaborates closely with MLFF teams (including EPPI’s and Subcontractor’s) to ensure alignment with broader complying MLFF Solution architecture.
- Analyzes the selected options of current technology environment to detect gaps, critical deficiencies, pain points and recommend solutions for rectification or improvement.
- Guides MLFF project team members in the deployment and implementation of the MLFF Solution.
- Leads and facilitates the MLFF Solution IT infrastructure governance process based on best practice and complying with the MLFF Solution contractual service levels.
- Documents and consolidates MLFF Solution IT Infrastructure data related to hardware, software, networks, and processes that enable MLFF Solution to transmit, process and store data, as well as self-performing support and maintenance of MLFF Solution IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field.
- With a minimum of five (5) years of experience
- Postgraduate studies or certifications in Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect), or IT Infrastructure domains (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF, Cisco, VMware, etc.) are an advantage.
- Experience in leading or designing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in tolling or transportation systems (an advantage).
- Leadership or stakeholder management skills, as they will lead cross-functional teams.
- Expert knowledge and experience in:
- Architecture evaluation, IT solutions delivery orchestration, project management, road mapping, risk management, interdependency management, agile methodologies, information security, cloud computing infrastructure, data architecture skills.
- Computer science, information technology standards and controls, and technology frameworks and trends, including servers (Sangfor HCI, Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage (SAN/NAS), and networks (LAN, WAN, security).
- IT Infrastructure practice, critical architecture deliverables, and governance, including monitoring and configuration management tools.
- MS SQL, Postgre, Oracle database technologies.
- Managing IT Infrastructure critical factors, including security, availability, performance and disaster recovery.
- Working effectively in a team environment and leading cross-functional teams, with the proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively with different types of scenarios and challenges and to adapt within a variety of changing MLFF project situations, while working with individuals and groups.
Work Location and Schedule
- Amenable to work in a hybrid setup located in Ortigas Center, Pasig
- Willingness to work at different project locations when required
