Role:
Day to day involvement in development of project design tasks assigned by the team leader from early stages of design, through technical design development, to the construction documentation.
Design Management and Team Leadership:
- Adhere to project deadlines.
- Maintain the design quality standards.
- Deliver the project under the guidance of Interior Designer III (IDII), Senior Interior Designer (SD) and/or Design Manager (DM).
- Participate in the implementation of the project execution plan.
- Participate in the preparation of the projects’ list of deliverables.
- Participate in managing smaller teams, mentoring team members at IDI level based on experience, demonstrating a greater responsibility and ownership of output by oneself and others as allocated by IDIII and above.
Design & Technical Expertise:
- Contribute to preparation of project/s’ concept design preparation including but not limited to:
- Project Model/s and Graphical presentation
- Drawings and Reports
- Collaborate with SA and DM on complex design challenges and ensure technical feasibility.
- Develop project deliveries while maintaining high‐quality design documents and construction drawings.
- Adopt creative design and problem‐solving approach.
- Participate in the design coordination process within Architecture team and with disciplines ( in house or external design partners: civil, structure, MEP, ID, Landscape, vertical transportation, & other specialists’ consultant)
- Develop project BIM Models and production of Design documents/reports.
- Maintain the models’ BIM quality level in coordination with the BIM Coordinator / Manager.
- Collaborate with SD and DM on complex design challenges and ensure technical feasibility.
- Participate in design code review and building materials/systems selection.
- Implement successfully the project BIM Execution plan.
- Accountable for successful project delivery meeting the targeted deadlines.
- Accountable for maintaining the project deliverables in Quality expected given level of experience.
- Accountable for efficient planning and utilization of project’s man‐hours assigned by team leader and the management of other members of the team as allocated by IDIII and above.
- Bachelor’s in architecture/interior design with good experience, managing complex projects at scale.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design.
- Strong understanding of architectural/interior design principles, Project Delivery, and basics of building codes.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in GCC region
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in BIM process, implementation and workflows.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Fluency in spoken and written communication
- Active participation in internal meetings, presentations, and workshops.
- Building strong relationships with team members.
- Promoting and maintaining collaborative environment in the office
Department Operations:
- Maintain professional code of conduct in line with the company’s ethics.
- Collaborate effectively with other disciplines.
- Participate in Knowledge sharing and skills development.
- Develop ownership approach to assigned design tasks.
- Initiative in mentorship and training of IDI and less experienced team members
