Egis with its partner Gadish (altogether called METAV) have been appointed as Network Manager in 2022, to work closely with the client, National Transport Authority, in managing the planning, design and construction of 3 new underground metro lines in Tel Aviv and the Gush Dan region. The 3 new metro lines will total 150km and 109 underground metro stations to serve 24 municipalities. Key figures:
- Estimated 2 million passengers per day will benefit from the new metro network.
- €50bn estimated cost.
- Benefits to Tel Aviv Area : 30% increase in public transport use and €8bn in economic benefits to the local economy.
Reporting to the Head of Integration will support and manage all interface functions and integration issues for the Tel Aviv Metro Programme. You will be supported by Egis engineers and experts in Israel and technical centres overseas.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the coordination effort with the internal stakeholder, design teams (internally or with partners) and with third parties for the external stakeholders and technical interfaces, in all technical and operational areas to ensure delivery of a safe and coherent system
- Developing the interfacing strategy including the tools and processes in line with ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, to ensure that the necessary interface activities can be accomplished in timely manner throughout the project life cycle
- Contributing of developing the Interface Management Plan
- Maintaining and updating Interface Matrix and interfaces action log
- Collecting inputs from various programme deliverables for compiling the Integration Strategy with associated Plans
- Proactively participating in the resolution of interface or integration conflicts by making technical proposals
- Supporting the implementation of the quality assurance systems and all project technical plans and procedures for rail systems
- Ensuring that all systems engineering objectives of the project are met to best international standards and practices
- Attending coordination meetings and communicate issues & concerns relating to coordination, approvals and programme interfaces
- Assessing interfaces risks and following mitigation plans.
To be considered for this position as Rail Integration & Interface Expert we have the following requirements:
- An Engineering degree.
- Over 15 years experience in rail engineering, including at least two metro projects.
- Knowledgeable in system engineering processes
- Experience as an Interface and/or Integration Manager within multi-disciplinary rail projects covering several systems and civils.
- Thanks to your excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to create a long-term relationship of trust with partners, clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, oral and written.
