We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervision Inspector responsible for conducting project site inspections, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to verify the quality and quantity of work executed by contractors. The Inspector will ensure that all mechanical works comply with contractual requirements, approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and client requirements. The role includes conducting regular site inspections of work submitted by the contractor through WIRs and MIRs, reviewing installations, witnessing testing and commissioning activities, and providing timely approvals. reports and progress tracking.
Responsibilities
• Carry out site inspections and supervision activities and report findings directly to the Mechanical Engineer.
• Inspect chilled water piping systems and oversee the testing and commissioning of overall Mechanical systems such as but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, system also coordinating seamless integration of mechanical system with project BMS.
• Review and interpret contract documents, shop drawings, technical specifications, and applicable local and international codes and standards.
• Ensure compliance with project quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Review and verify QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, Method Statements, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs, and as-built records.
• Confirm that construction activities meet project specifications and client requirements through inspections, measurements, testing, commissioning, and coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Document inspection activities, contractor resources, work locations, construction methods, and progress records accurately and promptly.
• Monitor material deliveries, perform material inspections, and verify proper storage and handling procedures.
• Track quality assurance activities and assist in resolving technical and quality-related issues.
• Maintain thorough inspection records and prepare detailed reports as required.
• Apply a strong working knowledge of ASHRAE, IPC, ASPE, SBC, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, and other relevant international standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical building services, including installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Aviation experience preferred.
- Proven experience in the inspection of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel oil systems, including AHUs, FCU’s, ETSs room, and lift stations.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration.
- Data Center and Aviation project experience is desirable.
- Quality Control or Quality Assurance certification is considered an added value advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; working knowledge of BIM and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Experience on large-scale PMCM, infrastructure, transportation, building, mixed-use, industrial, or utility projects. Aviation projects are highly desirable.
- Previous experience working for Engineering Consultants, PMCM Consultants, or Supervision Consultants preferred.
- GCC/KSA experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with local building codes, international architectural quality standards, and fire-rated assembly requirements.
- Proficiency in document control platforms (Aconex), CAD software (AutoCAD), and MS Office.
- Strong eye for detail, quality control mindset
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
