About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of electrical installations.

The Electrical Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring electrical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes and standards, and project quality requirements. The role will support the project team in maintaining construction quality, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring timely resolution of electrical issues.

The Electrical Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough inspections of Electrical systems, installations, and equipment to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and relevant building codes.
• Conduct daily inspections of electrical systems including MV/LV power distribution, MV substations and associated infrastructure, wiring, conduits, panels, lighting, and power systems.
• Monitor installation of street lighting, Apron floodlighting, GPUs, AGL infrastructure.
• Conduct regular surveillance of site work against documented processes.
• Conduct a review of work pack documentation and validate test data as meeting specified requirements and/or within tolerance.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications.
• Review and verify method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs).
• Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications.
• Monitor and verify installation methods, workmanship, and Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures compliance.
• Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality assurance and compliance tracking
• Participate in site coordination and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
• Collaborate with other inspectors to resolve electrical system integration issues.
• Stay updated on local and international electrical codes and regulations
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections and progress report out on the site.
• Participate in site coordination and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Identify and document electrical deficiencies, code violations, and potential safety hazards.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve electrical issues and ensure timely project completion.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all inspections and findings.
• Stay up to date with changes in Saudi Arabian and international electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations to improve electrical safety and efficiency on project sites.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss electrical requirements and potential challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.


What do we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical inspection, preferably in infrastructure and hanger projects.
  • Aviation experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical-related projects and construction supervision with Consultancy Engineering Company
  • Prior experience working with a Project Management Consultant (PMC) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi electrical codes, SEC standards, and international regulations.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems used in infrastructure projects (e.g., street lighting, utility networks, cabling, MV/LV substations, AGL, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling, networking, and integrated systems.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Proven experience working on construction sites and aviation projects.
  • Expertise in using various testing equipment and inspection tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant inspection software.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations and safety standards.
