About the Role
Egis Design Center Thailand (EDCT) provides engineering design services for Egis entities around the world within the BL Transportation.
We are seeking for a HVAC Engineer to join our growing Design Center. Based in Bangkok but working in close collaboration with Egis' ventilation team for tunnels and underground spaces in France, the member of staff will be responsible for carrying out specific tasks relating to the detailed design of ventilation / smoke extraction and air conditioning installations for underground structures (underground stations, shafts, tunnels). This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge transportation projects and contribute to the safety and efficiency of public transit systems from different countries.
Based on pre-established concepts, he/she will be required to carry out:
- heat load calculations of structures,
- sizing of ventilation/smoke extraction flow rates,
- sizing of cooling / heating production systems,
- pressure loss calculations for fans, air handling units and chilled water networks,
- layout of corresponding equipment in technical rooms,
- installation of ducts and vents in public and technical spaces

What do we need from you
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the design and dimensioning of ventilation, air conditioning and smoke extraction systems, ideally in the field of transport infrastructures
- Relevant experience in handling, leading and checking HVAC design
- Qualified professional able to work under limited supervision
- Strong knowledge of using international codes such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, etc.
- CAD experience
- Experience in working in an international context – Good level of English (speaking & writing)
- Ability to work under pressure with good working attitude.
- Ability to analyse and communicate, outstanding writing skills and synthesis spirit.
